White Station and Memphis East are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The White Station Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the Memphis East Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. White Station is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.
White Station fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against East Poinsett County on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to the Warriors. The Spartans have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Despite their defeat, White Station saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Amare Boothe, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 16 points and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Boothe is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Kyndall Reynolds was another key player, putting up ten points along with eight boards and five assists.
Even though they lost, White Station was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Poinsett County only racked up four assists.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Memphis East on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Memphis Central out of the water with a 53-20 final score. The Mustangs pushed the score to 45-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors had no chance of recovering from.
Memphis East's win came from a few key players White Station will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was McKenzie Register, who posted 11 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlee Sinkfield, who earned 12 points and three steals.
White Station's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for Memphis East, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
Things could have been worse for White Station, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-35 loss to Memphis East in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can White Station avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
