Even though the Pamlico County Hurricanes scored an imposing 70 points on Thursday, the Martin County Knights still came out on top. Martin County managed a 75-70 win over Pamlico County. This was payback for Martin County, who suffered a 53-39 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Martin County found their leader in underclassman Jordan Matthewson, who scored 33 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaquavion Sheppard, who scored 13 points.
Pamlico County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tariq Barber, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Koby Lane, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Martin County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Pamlico County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Lejeune is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.4 points per game.
