Majong scored a full 33.3% of Lewis J. Bennett's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jazier Fluker, who scored 5 points along with 12 rebounds and 3 steals.
Newfane's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Dickinson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Braman, who scored 17 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals.
Lewis J. Bennett's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Newfane, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewis J. Bennett will face off against Bishop Timon-St. Jude at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newfane, they will head out on the road to face off against Niagara-Wheatfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
