Basketball Recap: Breylon Lewis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead New Hope Academy Regional over Largo

New Hope Academy Regional suffered their biggest defeat since November 17, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 82-57 to the Largo Lions.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Breylon Lewis, who posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave Lewis a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lawson Hopkins, who had 15 points.

New Hope Academy Regional's loss dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Largo, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.

New Hope Academy Regional will face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Largo, they will square off against Crossland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Largo's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups.
