The Roseville Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Antelope Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Roseville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down Yuba City 64-45.
Clark Nielsen was the offensive standout of the matchup as he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brandon Newton, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Antelope put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat River Valley 72-42 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Antelope has posted against River Valley since April 30, 2021.
Roseville's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Antelope, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.
Roseville might still be hurting after the 69-45 loss they got from Antelope when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Roseville, Cabrayon Odom (who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
