Baseball Recap: Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Snags Ninth Victory in Last 12 Games

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton won the last time they faced Lakeview and things went their way on Sunday too. The Knights were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Lakers. Considering the Knights have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Sunday's blowout was nothing new.

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton got a massive performance out of Tyler Wichmann, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave Wichmann a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Determan, who fired off three triples and three RBI while going 3-for-4.

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .343 or higher in five consecutive matchups.

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That lines up perfectly with their 15-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games.
