Ouachita Christian has struggled against Sterlington recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Sterlington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cooper Nelson, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. Nelson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 20 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Khristian Johnson, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Ouachita Christian now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Sterlington, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.
Ouachita Christian on the road again on Tuesday and play against Cedar Creek at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Cedar Creek is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Sterlington, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Wossman at 6:00 p.m. Wossman knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 21 games -- so hopefully Sterlington likes a good challenge.
