Lincoln waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Kennedy Commanders with a sharp 11-1 win. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by nine runs or more this season.

Carlos Gonzales was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sam Trujillo, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Lincoln always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kennedy only posted an OBP of .222.

Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Kennedy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will welcome Fort Lupton at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in the Lancers' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while the Bluedevils have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Kennedy, they will challenge Hinkley on Monday.
