The Bloomingdale Bulls put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 38-26 win over Armwood. Given Bloomingdale's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Armwood is ranked 163rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Noelle Mengel, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Tabitha Vega, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
Bloomingdale's win was their 17th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-0. As for Armwood, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bloomingdale's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wharton at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Wharton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 last Tuesday. As for Armwood, they will head out on the road to take on Lennard at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
