Asheboro Hybrid Academy walked away with a 53-43 win over Father Capodanno. This was payback for Asheboro Hybrid Academy, who suffered a 42-41 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Leading Asheboro Hybrid Academy to victory were Emily West and Autumn Voncannon. West scored 25 points along with 5 rebounds, while Voncannon dropped a double-double on 12 points and 19 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which West has scored at least 25% of Asheboro Hybrid Academy's points.
The victory got Asheboro Hybrid Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Father Capodanno, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. As for Father Capodanno, they will head out on the road to face off against Berean Baptist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
