The Green Forest Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 14th straight loss. They lost to Flippin on the road by a decisive 76-59 margin. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Brayden Compton and Sebastian Holsted certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Compton scored 16 points along with eight rebounds, while Holsted scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Hesten Maybee was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Even though they lost, Green Forest were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. This was only their 16th loss (out of 21 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Green Forest has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 16 of their last 17 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-21 record this season. As for Flippin, their victory bumped their record up to 18-14.
Green Forest will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Tigers at 8:00 p.m. Lead Hill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Flippin, they will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
