Charlotte Latin's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over Greater Cabarrus S. Considering the Hawks have won three contests by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Ainsley Sullivan made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Caroline Coble and Lila McConnell did most of the damage at the plate: Coble scored three runs while going 4-for-4, while McConnell went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI and two runs. Coble is crushing it when it comes to hits: she's got at least three every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Addie Speece, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.
Charlotte Latin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 14 hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Wesleyan Christian Academy came up short against Charlotte Christian on Thursday, falling 8-1.
Wesleyan Christian Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Wesleyan Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Charlotte Latin, their record now sits at 4-0.
Wesleyan Christian Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Charlotte Latin has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .598. It's a different story for Wesleyan Christian Academy, though, as they've only averaged .287. Will they be able to contain Charlotte Latin's hitters?
