After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lutheran, the Illinois School for the Deaf Tigers were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They walked away with a 61-49 victory over Mississippi School for the Deaf. For Illinois School for the Deaf, this counts as revenge for the 56-53 loss Mississippi School for the Deaf walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2020.
Despite the loss, Mississippi School for the Deaf still got an impressive performance from Christian Carrawell, who scored 18 points. Learvious Hill was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
The win got Illinois School for the Deaf back to even at 2-2. As for Mississippi School for the Deaf, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Illinois School for the Deaf will square off against Mendon Unity at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mississippi School for the Deaf, they will head out on the road to face off against Stringer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
