Carson proved they can win big  last Monday (they won by seven) and  on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a  run and slipped past the Redondo Union Sea Hawks  5-4. The Colts'  win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet  this season.
 Giselle Pantoja spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and three unearned) runs on six hits. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run any time she's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  Kayleigh Allen was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Allen is  crushing it when it comes to  stolen bases: she's   stole at least one every time she's  taken the field this season.  Ashannalee Titialii was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple and one  run.
Carson's victory was  their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Redondo Union,  with the  defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.
