Ballard had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs by a score of 6-2. That's two games straight that the Bombers have won by exactly four runs.

Ballard pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Dallas Center-Grimes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Coincidentally, Ballard and Dallas Center-Grimes will both be playing Central Clinton the next time they take the field. The Bombers will host the Sabers at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
