Football Recap: Lutheran Northwest Falls Despite Big Games from Jonah Breithaupt and Raymond Losier

After flying high against Oakland Christian last Friday, Lutheran Northwest came back down to earth. The Crusaders took a 28-14 bruising from the Hamady Hawks on Friday. The Crusaders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Lutheran Northwest had strong showings from Raymond Losier, who gained 78 total yards and a touchdown, and Jonah Breithaupt, who rushed for 49 yards and one score.

Lutheran Northwest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Conner Lemke.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 4-4. As for Hamady, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lutheran Northwest will host Detroit Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lutheran Northwest will be up against Detroit Leadership Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.38 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hamady, they will be playing at home against Lake Fenton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will need to watch out since the Blue Devils have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
