Everything went their way against the Cosby Eagles on Thursday as they made off with a 17-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their two-run performance the match before.
Caleb Stuart made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. That run was his first of the season.
In other pitching news, Andrew Snow looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
