The Huntington Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Calvary Baptist Academy Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
On Friday, Huntington came up short against Parkway and fell 30-19. The Raiders gained 70 more yards on the day, but it was the Panthers that made the best use of them.

Justin Whitaker put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 138 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 40 yards. Caiden Starks was in the mix too, providing Huntington with two scores.
Even if they lost, Huntington's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Joshua Fisher, Jaylin Morgan, and Cyree Davis, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, Calvary Baptist Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Farmers 48-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Cavaliers just coasted through the last quarter.
Huntington better focus on containing Z'Ryan Miles and Hudson Price as the pair were huge in Calvary Baptist Academy's win. Miles rushed for 99 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries, while Price threw for 154 yards and three TDs on only eight passes.
Calvary Baptist Academy's run defense was locked in: Union Parish could only muster 3.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Will Merry for the heroic effort on defense: he. Calvary Baptist Academy didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged nine.
Calvary Baptist Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Luke Miller, Ty Knight, and Justin Reeves picked up one apiece. Calvary Baptist Academy got some further help from Chance Freeman: he picked up a sack, forced two fumbles, and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Huntington now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Calvary Baptist Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Huntington has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 163.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Calvary Baptist Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 160.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Huntington came up short against Calvary Baptist Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 21-14. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
