Paragon Academy suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way at home and fell 90-49.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but East Valley Athletes for Christ ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against South Pointe by a score of 69-59. The victory was familiar territory for East Valley Athletes for Christ who now have three in a row.
Ajay Hoover was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. His trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Anderson, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Paragon Academy's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-9. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for East Valley Athletes for Christ, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
