The Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos will challenge the Roseville Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Twelve Bridges sitting on four straight victories and Roseville on three.
Twelve Bridges had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Del Campo on Monday. The Raging Rhinos blew past the Cougars 16-8.
Callie Kosmides made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Lexi Bright was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Lucia Cantarhina was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Twelve Bridges kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Roseville got the win against Nevada Union on Thursday by a conclusive 17-6.
McKenna Patterson was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Solorio, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run.
Twelve Bridges pushed their record up to 11-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of three runs across that stretch. As for Roseville, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
Roseville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Twelve Bridges hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .345. It's a different story for Roseville, though, as they've only averaged .240. Will they be able to contain Twelve Bridges' hitters?
Twelve Bridges skirted past Roseville 2-1 in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Raging Rhinos repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
