The Wayne County Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Perry County Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wayne County's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Cayman Camfield, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds, and Justice Bell, who scored 22 points along with four steals. Camfield is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Sayler Skelton was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Perry County came up short against Loretto on Saturday and fell 57-48.
Wayne County is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. As for Perry County, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Wayne County skirted past Perry County 47-44 in their previous matchup last Thursday. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Perry County's Colton Pevahouse, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds.
