Norwalk is 9-1 against Vermilion since March of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Norwalk Truckers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vermilion Sailors at 7:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Norwalk pushed their score all the way to 66 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 74-66 to Sandusky. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Norwalk in their matchups with Sandusky: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Vermilion's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. Their tough 69-46 defeat to Brookside might stick with them for a while. Vermilion was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-15.
Vermilion's loss came about despite a quality game from AJ Gerber, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Mason Cooper, who scored five points.
Norwalk's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6. As for Vermilion, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Norwalk came out on top in a nail-biter against Vermilion in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, sneaking past 49-46. Will Norwalk repeat their success, or does Vermilion have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
