Lafayette Central Catholic (Lafayette, Ind.) rolled past Scecina (Indianapolis, Ind.), 38-7, on Friday to win its third consecutive Class A state championship and extend its winning streak to 45 games. The state-record winning streak is 60 by Bloomington High from 1967-73.
The Knights became Indiana's first football team to win state titles with perfect records for three straight years.

Danny Anthrop ran for 255 yards and three touchdowns on just 23 carries to lead the rout. In four career games at Lucas Oil Stadium, Anthrop has scored 13 touchdowns. He finished his senior year with 51 touchdowns - 32 rushing, 13 receiving and six on returns.
Quarterback Austin Munn told the Lafayette Journal & Courier, "Every time I hand the ball off, I carry out my fake and I turn around and watch. It's unbelievable. He's pushing kids out and stiff-arming kids and getting right past them. I don't understand how he does it. It's great to have an athlete like that (on my side)."
