Hanover is 1-9 against Biglerville since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Nighthawks will welcome the Canners at 4:15 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.
Hanover was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Fairfield on Monday. The Nighthawks put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 7-1 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Nighthawks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Chase Foreman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Hanover is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-11 otherwise.

At the plate, Tim Wagaman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Colton Miller was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Hanover was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Biglerville made easy work of Fairfield on Tuesday and carried off an 8-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Canners, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.
Parker Black made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Biglerville let Gavin Althoff and Jared Hollabaugh run wild. Althoff got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Hollabaugh got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brayden Pearce, who went 4-for-5 with two doubles.
Hanover's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Biglerville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
