McAdams has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on The French Camp Academy Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, McAdams came up short against Noxapater and fell 36-26.
Meanwhile, French Camp Academy took a serious blow against Velma Jackson on Friday, falling 73-7. While losing is never fun, French Camp Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 240th, while Velma Jackson is ranked 49th).
Despite the loss, French Camp Academy got a solid performance out of Silas Hodge, who rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
McAdams' loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-0 Velma Jackson and 6-2 Ethel (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 55.2% over those games). As for French Camp Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
McAdams was dealt a bruising 47-0 loss at the hands of French Camp Academy in their previous matchup back in September of 2016. Thankfully for McAdams, Kendall Coleman jr (who rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
