The Bishop Kearney Kings will head out on the road to square off against the University Prep Charter Gator at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Kearney is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Bishop Kearney pushed their score all the way to 62 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 71-62 to Marcellus. While losing is never fun, Bishop Kearney can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while Marcellus is ranked 12th).
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for University Prep Charter, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top against Rochester Academy by a score of 70-60 on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Bishop Kearney has fallen quite a ways from their 15-7 record last season and are now at 3-6. As for University Prep Charter, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
