East Nashville Magnet's 58 - 27 win over Giles County last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior Rondarius Gregory. Gregory earned three touchdowns and 196 yards rushing the ball. That performance landed Gregory among the top power-ranked players for the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of last week's main attractions was the confrontation between Henry County and Germantown, 24th and 9th in the MaxPreps state rankings, respectively. Henry County came up short against Germantown, falling 31 - 21. Despite the defeat, Henry County might take consolation in the fact that it scored well against Germantown's defense, which allows only 9.5 points per game on average.

Brentwood is a little down this week -- likely figuratively, certainly literally. The team fell seven spots in the power rankings (the most of any team in the rankings) after its most recent contest. It took a hit to the loss column with a 42 - 31 setback at the hands of Independence. Brentwood fell despite improving upon an already solid 27-point performance the game before.
