After losing to Evansville/Albany the last time they met, Whitewater decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Whitewater dodged a bullet on Friday, finishing off Evansville/Albany 22-21. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Whitewater as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
The win bumped Whitewater's record up to 1-5. Evansville/Albany are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-6.
Whitewater will look to defend their home turf next week against Brodhead/Juda at 7:00 PM. Brodhead/Juda took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Whitewater's good fortune. As for Evansville/Albany, they will face off against Big Foot. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
