Vanguard won the last time they faced Lake Weir, and Kadance Reeves did her part to make sure it happened again. The Knights put the hurt on the Hurricanes with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday with plenty of help from Reeves, who had 18 assists and five aces. She has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last six times she's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-20.

Vanguard's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dhruvi Patel, who had eight assists and three aces. Vani Patel was another key player, getting four digs and three aces.

The win got Vanguard back to even at 1-1.

Vanguard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Belleview on the 21st. As for Lake Weir, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Dunnellon on the 21st.
