Eagle Christian Academy has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Johnson County Sports Association Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eagle Christian Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Eagle Christian Academy had to suffer through a rough 52-12 loss at the hands of Providence Academy. Eagle Christian Academy was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Johnson County Sports Association on the road against Keene on Thursday as the team secured a 58-13 victory. The victory was just what Johnson County Sports Association needed coming off of a 70-22 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Johnson County Sports Association to victory, but perhaps none more so than Athan Reeves, who picked up 68 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Gael Montes de Oca, who gained 122 total yards and two touchdowns.
Eagle Christian Academy's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.2 points per game. As for Johnson County Sports Association, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
