Softball Recap: Northern Lehigh's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matches, Northern Lehigh finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hurricanes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

With the loss, Northern Lehigh broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-10. As for Schuylkill Haven, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Northern Lehigh will challenge Pine Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. Schuylkill Haven does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
