The Kennedy Memorial Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 15th straight defeat. They received a tough blow as they fell 62-48 to South River. Kennedy Memorial has struggled against the Rams recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Alex Grospe was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with eight assists and six rebounds for South River. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Teresky, who scored ten points.
Kennedy Memorial dropped their record down to 1-17 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for South River, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy Memorial will face off against the Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Spotswood presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Mustangs in New Jersey (the Chargers are ranked 163rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 399th). As for South River, they will head out on the road to square off against the Ramblers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
