Baseball Recap: Inter-City Baptist Has No Trouble Against Southfield Christian

Inter-City Baptist had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Southfield Christian on Monday. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Eagles. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by nine runs or more this season.

Inter-City Baptist got a massive performance out of Luke Harrison, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave Harrison a new career-high. Josh Hamilton was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Inter-City Baptist hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.

Inter-City Baptist's record is now 8-6. As for Southfield Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
