Basketball Recap: Louisburg Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from CHLOE ARRINGTON and RYANNE ARRINGTON

On Monday, the Louisburg Warriors were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 64-59 to the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Louisburg's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of RYANNE ARRINGTON, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds, and CHLOE ARRINGTON, who went 10 of 20 on her way to 24 points. CHLOE's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of OMARI JACKSON, who posted eight points and five steals.

Leading North Raleigh Christian Academy to victory were Khloe Moye and Keaton Rikard. Moye dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds, while Rikard had 19 points in addition to five assists and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Moye has scored at least a third of North Raleigh Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Presley Ray, who put up eight points.

Louisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7.

Louisburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-36 victory against Warren County on the 17th. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Metrolina Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
