Leading Colbert County to victory were Caitlin Cunningham and Joyden Ricks. Cunningham scored 19 points, while Ricks scored 25 points. The game was Ricks' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Jada Donley was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Phillips' loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-11. As for Colbert County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.
Phillips will head out on the road to face off against Vina at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Colbert County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Colbert Heights at 5:30 p.m.
