York won the last time they faced Vernon Hills and things went their way on Friday too. The Dukes came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 2-0.

Hunter Stepanich paced York's offense, picking up ten kills. Stepanich got some help from Carson Cruver and his 20 assists. Finally, Joe McGreal kept York's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

York's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Vernon Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

York didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Niles Notre Dame on the 11th. As for Vernon Hills, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Leyden on the 11th.
