Basketball Recap: Lone Peak Skates Past Orem with Ease

Lone Peak had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Orem Tigers 69-12. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

Lone Peak was led to victory by Tatiana Harness and Kennedy Woolston. Harness went 5 for 8 on her way to 14 points in addition to five assists and three steals, while Woolston went 5 of 8 on her way to 15 points and four steals. The game was Woolston's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charli Warner, who posted five points.

Lone Peak pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.1 points per game. As for Orem, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Lone Peak will challenge Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Lone Peak knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy likes a good challenge. As for Orem, they will head out to take on Crimson Cliffs at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Orem is facing Crimson Cliffs at the right time seeing as Crimson Cliffs is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
