Bucktail has gone a perfect 10-0 against Sugar Valley Rural recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bucks will head out to square off against the Phoenix at 4:30 p.m. Bucktail is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.
While Bucktail's win against Moshannon Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bucks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 victory over the Black Knights/Damsels on Monday.

Makenna Stone was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last ten times she's played. Kendall Wagner was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bucktail kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Sugar Valley Rural was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Northwest Area, falling 21-1. Having soared to a lofty 27 runs in the game before, the Phoenix couldn't push the score so high this time.
Sugar Valley Rural saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Clester, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Sugar Valley Rural's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bucktail, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bucktail has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .441. However, it's not like Sugar Valley Rural struggles in that department as they've averaged .436. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bucktail took their victory against Sugar Valley Rural in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bucks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
