Calvary Christian Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They and the GVCS Broadfording Lions will face off at 5:15 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Calvary Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Lions are ranked 119th).
Last Tuesday, Calvary Christian Academy was beaten by the Flames 60-32. Calvary Christian Academy has not had much luck with the Flames recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
In what's become a running theme this season, GVCS Broadfording gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 51-15 victory over New Life Christian at home. Winning may never get old, but GVCS Broadfording sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Calvary Christian Academy dropped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for GVCS Broadfording, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
Calvary Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 56-30 defeat they got from the Lions in their previous matchup back in January. Can Calvary Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
