Roncalli hasn't had much luck against Valders recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Jets will take on the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Valders took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Roncalli, who comes in off a win.
Roncalli lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Reedsville, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Jets put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 13-3 victory on Friday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Jets' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Madison Lamers made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Lamers was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aubri Riesterer, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Schultz, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Valders was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 10-2 to Sevastopol.
Like Roncalli, Valders also got a great game from a two-way player: Megan Hochkammer. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Hochkammer has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Hochkammer wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Arianna Hernandez, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Roncalli now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Valders, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Roncalli might still be hurting after the 14-4 defeat they got from Valders in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Jets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
