This season hasn't been kind to the Monett Cubs, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. The match between Monett and Neosho wasn't particularly close, with Monett falling 65-51. Monett has not had much luck with Neosho recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Neosho found their leader in underclassman Kaiden Asberry, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for Asberry. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrone Harris, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Monett's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Neosho, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monett's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hollister at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Hollister is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Neosho, they will head out on the road to face off against Seneca at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
