The Westmoore Jaguars came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Yukon 63-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Westmoore got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dee Frost out in front who scored 23 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Frost has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kyiah Prestridge, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds.
Westmoore pushed their record up to 12-7 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Yukon, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.
Coincidentally, Westmoore and Yukon will both be playing Northwest Classen the next time they take the court. Westmoore will head out to face Northwest Classen at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Yukon will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
