After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wichita County, the Elkhart Wildcats were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They escaped with a win against Greeley County by the margin of a single free throw, 39-38. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Elkhart also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2020.
Elkhart's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bella Brillhart, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Brillhart has scored at least 25% of Elkhart's points. Madyson Brillhart was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
The victory got Elkhart back to even at 1-1. As for Greeley County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
