Port Allegany extended the longest winning streak in Allegheny Mountain - Northern this week by beating Brockway, 55-20. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Port Allegany moved up to 135 from 174 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Michael Bodamer's team climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Rovers 55-20.
The Gators' dynamic duo of Matt Bodamer and Tyce Miller proved tough for Brockway to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Bodamer threw for 347 yards and five touchdowns and Miller had 106 yards receiving. Rickie Bova helped Port Allegany's passing attack out by catching six balls for 98 yards.
Clay Schuler was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 207 yards on 25 carries as Smethport beat Mike Pisarchick's team. Teammate Ryan Stratton added to the ground attack by rushing for 35 yards.
The Gators' Bodamer and Miller have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Allegheny Mountain - Northern in both passing and receiving yards. Bodamer has thrown for 2790 yards this season, while Miller, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 55 catches for 1055 yards. The Hubbers' Schuler leads the league in rushing yards with 1011.
Port Allegany's Nick Conway is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 90 receiving yards against the Rovers to hit that benchmark. So far this year, he has garnered 46 catches for 910 yards.
The Gators took down Brockway 55-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Bodamer ran for 61 yards in the win.
