After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Windsor Charter Academy, the Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Ocelotls were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 48-29 victory over William Smith. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Rocky Mountain Prep SMART also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Rocky Mountain Prep SMART's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daishon Jones, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Jones pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Rigo Navez, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Rocky Mountain Prep SMART's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10. As for William Smith, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Rocky Mountain Prep SMART will head out on the road to challenge Estes Park at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for William Smith, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lotus School For Excellence at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
