The Eastside Tigers put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Parkland by a score of 68-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jalen Long, who scored 18 points along with six steals. The contest was Long's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Will Love was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Eastside's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Parkland, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
Eastside will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Rutgers Prep at 2:45 p.m. on December 30, 2023. One thing working in Rutgers Prep's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. Parkland and Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic will round out the year against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday at.
