It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Pine Bluff Zebras had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 41-21 margin over Nettleton. Winning may never get old, but Pine Bluff sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Nettleton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tj Brown, who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns, and Xavier Harrell who rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. Brown has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last eight times he's played.
Pine Bluff's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Nettleton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.
Pine Bluff will face off against Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Lakeside is ranked 24th, while Pine Bluff is ranked 23rd). Nettleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
