The Alpine Bucks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 41-34 to Fort Hancock. Alpine has not had much luck with Fort Hancock recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Alpine lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hope Dominguez. Despite the final result, she scored 5 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Alessandra Jimenez was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 14 steals for Fort Hancock. That makes it two consecutive games in which Jimenez has scored at least 25% of Fort Hancock's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marisol Diaz, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Alpine's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Fort Hancock, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.
Alpine is on the road again on Thursday and play against Denver City at 5:00 p.m. on December 7th. Denver City will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Fort Hancock, they will take on Grady at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday. Grady is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
