After flying high against the Tri-State Christian Huskies  on Friday, the Morning Star Academy Mustangs came back down to earth. Morning Star Academy was just a bucket shy of victory  on Friday and fell  34-33 to the Falcons. Morning Star Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  last Friday.
 Morning Star Academy lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Itzel Roque, who  scored nine points along with three  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Violet Jewell, who  scored four points along with six  rebounds and three  steals.
 Morning Star Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Faith Christian, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-8.
 Morning Star Academy won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against the Lions at 3:15  p.m.  on February 3rd. Galesburg Christian is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Faith Christian, they will  face off against the Eagles at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
