LaGrange Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 44-28 win over Flint River Academy. Given LaGrange Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Wildcats are ranked 535th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Flint River Academy saw an underclassman step up: Reagan Riner scored 11 points along with four blocks. Riner is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted four or more in the last three games she's played.
LaGrange Academy pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.1 points. As for Flint River Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
LaGrange Academy will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Flint River Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
